Frequently asked questions.
How does Navigate Meds work?
Navigator Meds works by providing personalized travel health solutions for individuals who need prescriptions, travel health packs, or emergency medication refills while traveling. Below are the steps of how we function!
1. Online Consultation
You begin by completing a brief health questionnaire online. This helps assess your medical needs and the health risks associated with your upcoming travels.
2. Expert Review
Your questionnaire is reviewed by Dr. Laura Beringer, a board-certified physician with extensive experience in internal medicine and travel health. She evaluates your responses and medical history to create a customized travel health plan tailored to your needs.
3. Prescription & Insurance Navigation
Navigate Meds works directly with your local pharmacy to fulfill your prescription needs. We help navigate through your insurance to find the best prescription deals, often using medical coupons to minimize your out-of-pocket costs.
The medications are sent directly to your pharmacy, where you pay only the co-pay or discounted price—typically ranging from $0 to your co-pay.
How do I know what will be in my travel pack?
Curated Travel Health Pack
Based on your destination and personal health requirements, Dr. Beringer curates a personalized travel health pack that may include prescriptions for common travel-related illnesses (like traveler's diarrhea, UTIs, altitude sickness, etc.), preventative medications (like malaria prophylaxis), and any other necessary treatments.
Medications will include 4 or more antibiotics and prescription medications including but not limited to Macrobid aka Nitrofurantoin/Ciprofloxacin/ Levaquin/ Azithromax aka Z-pack / Amoxicillin/ Doxycycline/ Prednisone/ Malarone / or other appropriate medications per Dr. Beringer’s discretion

If I have questions about my travel pack or how to use a medication, who can I contact?
We're here to support you every step of the way—whether you're preparing for your trip, traveling, or within 45 days after your journey. If you have questions about your travel pack or need guidance on using your medication, feel free to reach out. After the 45-day period, if you require further assistance, you can access our Physician Chat for a fee of $30. This consult includes speaking with a doctor and receiving any advice, but please note that no new prescriptions will be provided during this session.
Can I use Navigator Meds for travel-related prescriptions?
Yes, absolutely! Navigator Meds was created specifically for travelers who may not have had time to see their primary care doctor, and need a quick refill or travel pack before their travels. However, non-travelers can also use Navigator Meds for emergency refills, our Pick-2, or Epi-pen refills!
What prescriptions do you not prescribe?
At Navigator Meds, we do not prescribe any form of narcotics, or any controlled substances (Xanax, anxiety meds, lithium, or any type of stimulants).
However, we do refill anti-depressants, as long as you have a record of it being prescribed in your medical history
Can I get a refund?
We do not offer refunds unless, after payment is processed, it is determined by the doctor that you are not eligible for our services. If this occurs, we will issue a full refund. Eligibility is assessed during the prescription review process. For any questions or concerns, please reach out to our customer support team for assistance.
Who isn’t applicable for treatment?
We are unable to provide services to clients with the following conditions: HIV, immunodeficiency disorders, chronic illnesses, or those who are pregnant.
